Story

Tom Thumb – or Thumbelino, Tiny Matyi, Little Johnny Bean – is one of the most beloved tiny heroes of Hungarian folk tales.
He appears under many different names, not only in Hungarian tradition but also in English and German folklore — from the Brothers Grimm’s Thumbling to Tom Thumb in English tales.

With his tiny size and enormous wit, strength, and courage, he is a wonderfully comical yet heroic character. His adventures — often full of danger, mischief, and clever escapes — have captured the imaginations of generations.

This adaptation, written by Eszter Márkó and Miklós Pavlovits, brings his most thrilling adventures to life on stage in a playful, imaginative fairy tale performance for all ages.
